The Oaks are undertaking a first on Friday at Oakley Park. We are entertaining Marin Cricket Club from North California, the first USA based club to visit Oakley Park.
The game is due to start at 2:00 PM and is to be played in a 35 Over format. Due to holidays, work and injury, we have an eclectic team but we should be in a situation where we can give everyone a game and offer our hosts an entertaining afternoon.
The purpose of the game is not really about winning or losing, more a way of giving our guests a view of village cricket in Hampshire, using our excellent facilities and enjoying the local countryside. We are currently in the process of sorting out the team to give it a bit of balance and ensure all players get a good game.
Please do come along and support this occasion. We start at 2:00 and will finish at around 6:00 PM when we will have a few beers. Teas will be provided.
