Firsts Lose to Titchborne

No real details or scorecards available for the game yesterday but the feedback I have received suggests another disappointing day. Sorry if it is not wholly accurate with scores but I am busy tomorrow and Sunday’s are the only real time I get to do a report.

As far as I am aware Potts and Brighty got off to a flier and Titchborne were reeling at 12-4 before a couple of catches went down and they recovered to an unlikely 198. Not entirely sure of the wicket-takers, Tommy, Potts, Clive and Brighty, I think? Sorry if I missed anyone.

In response, Clive and Dan started well but a collapse soon ensued leaving the Oaks at 90-9 before late last-stand resistance from Jimmy and AB got the score to respectability and at one point within a sniff of victory. Potts also had decent knock of around 30 I believe?

Confidence appears to be very low amongst an honest group of lads and it was wasn’t nice to see some dejected faces back up at the clubhouse after. However, fair play to them for coming back to watch the football and congratulate George and the two’s on their good performance….one club and all that.

Onwards and upwards, so they say.

Up the Oaks!
