Oakley under 13’s won another nail-biter this evening against Odiham. Bowling first, Oakley restricted Odiham to 108 from 20 overs, taking 6 wickets with excellent fielding and tight bowling.
Batting, we set off quickly reaching 38 off the first 4 overs with both openers retiring. There followed some kamikaze running which let Odiham back into the game and looking favourites.
However, a brilliant captain’s inning of 58 not out by Joby won us the game with 2 balls to spare. It was a sensational innings.
The improvements just keep coming as we head into the last few games of the season.
