As we step into a fresh year, Oakley Cricket Club is buzzing with energy and ambition under our new chairman, Kris Tucknott. Kris is keen to build on the recent success of the club off the pitch while reinvigorating our men’s Saturday league teams with fresh ideas. The goal? To make the step up to adult cricket an exciting prospect for our talented colts and to welcome new members into a progressive, collaborative, and fun club environment.
At Oakley, we believe in organic growth—building steadily and sustainably rather than chasing quick fixes. Sure, like any club of our size and stature, we have occasional dips, but the bigger picture is clear: we’re always progressing, offering cricket for all ages and abilities, from colts to men’s teams, girls’ and ladies’ cricket.
Time flies, and with Christmas behind us, we’re already looking forward to February pre-season nets, groundwork, and our first taste of outdoor cricket in mid-April.
