Selection Policy – Oakley CC
This section of the Selection Policy applies to all adult and colts Oakley CC representative sides.
The respective captain (as elected by members at the club AGM), nominated captain (for Sunday friendly fixtures), or colts age group coach shall be responsible for selecting sides for each fixture.
Selection priority will be given to players who:
- Have paid their annual membership fee
- Have declared their availability ahead of any stated selection deadline
Saturday League Fixtures – Adult Teams
This section of the Selection Policy applies to adult Saturday league fixtures.
A Selection Committee shall meet throughout the outdoor season to determine selection for all adult First XI, Second XI and Third XI sides.
The Selection Committee will consist of the three Saturday captains, as elected by members at the club AGM.
The Committee is responsible for selecting three sides that they believe are best positioned to achieve maximum points from the weekend’s fixtures.
The Selection Committee will aim to publish team selections no later than Thursday each week.
If a club member wishes to discuss a selection matter, they should first raise it with the relevant team captain. If the matter is not resolved satisfactorily, it should be escalated to the club Chairman.
