Good afternoon all, I hope you are wintering well. As we head to the middle of February, things are beginning to ramp up at the club and we will soon be getting on with doing some work at the ground.
I am pleased to inform everyone that after lots of hard work by Natalie, we have a Colts sponsor. ‘Clear Signal’ from Cliddesden will be on the front of our shirts this season and we are grateful for their support. This is the first ever season that we have had full sponsorship for adults and colts teams and the investment of Clear Signal, Vivid and Foreman Homes is a great reflection of how the club is developing.
Alex has now taken several orders for the £10.00 shirts, with most members now signed up for the order to be placed in the next few weeks. If you are yet to place your order, could you please do so as soon as possible as we do not want any delays. End of this week would be nice.
Natalie is organising all the Colts purchases. If for any reason you are a Colts parent looking to purchase new kit for your child, please contact Natalie.
*Please note: If you order trousers or jumpers on this same order you will receive discount on these items.
If any of you know any local businesses who may be interested in boundary fence advertising, please contact Mike Tiley on our contact page. They cost £500.00 for a two year deal and look really good on the boundary fence (see below).
Congratulations to Rob Wood who became the first adult member to pay his £70.00 membership for 2019. This was followed quickly by Club Treasurer Peter Holcroft
who in turn guilt tripped the Chairman into action. Heroically, I paid up today, meaning I can now chase members without being a hypocrite.
The cost for 2019 members is £70.00 for adults and £35.00 for students and colts. Jack Brundle has asked if he can have a discount if he has Foreman Homes tattooed on his forehead but I am afraid we can’t do any deals. The money you pay is invested in the club and once again, we are going to have a busy spring as we make the place hospitable not just for cricket, but also for functions and parties (big money raisers).
It’s that time again where we prepare for the new challenges in the 2019 season. Net sessions are starting at 8:00 PM on Wednesday 20th February. We have 3 nets for an hour every week for six weeks. At the beginning of April we go outside every Wednesday from six until it’s time for a pint. I think it is £3 or £4 per session depending on how many turn up each week.
Congratulations to the Under 15’s who won their indoor league after a victory over Old Basing last week. Well done to all the boys involved. Top effort that!
